The store is set to host a Grand Opening Celebration this Friday, April 15th from 4:30pm-6:30pm. Due to these many injuries, Jack had not ridden a bicycle in over 20 years. However, after Matthew took Jack on his first ride, he was hooked, and the two friends and former co-workers decided to partner up again and open a Pedego Store in Baldwin Park.

This is the second Pedego store that owner Adam Levine (36) has opened in New Jersey, and he plans on opening his third in the not too distant future. Adam’s first dealership, Pedego Spring Lake, was the first Pedego store to open in New Jersey seven years ago.

The Marlboro store replaced the Bicycle Hub of Marlboro, which had been in business for almost 30 years. A New Jersey native who grew up in the neighboring town of Colts Neck, Adam wanted to make sure that the integrity of the original bicycle shop remained intact, and so has decided to maintain the same service department. The showroom and storefront will display Pedego Electric Bikes, but the service department will continue to take care of regular, acoustic bicycles. 

“I think it’s important that the spirit of the Bicycle Hub remains intact, and I think our store opening is the perfect way for that to happen,” said Adam Levine, owner of Pedego Marlboro. “Now, people can get their bicycles fixed and test out all of the wonderful electric bikes Pedego has to offer.”

Jordan Clark, owner of Pedego Lake Las Vegas, fell in love with Pedego electric bikes eight years ago on a business trip to Huntington Beach. Despite not being in great shape, Jordan rode over 30 miles on his rented Pedego the very first day. After coming back home, he found that could not get that first ride on a Pedego out of his head. Fortunately, Jordan lived not too far from one of the very first Pedego stores in Henderson, and ended up buying several bikes. Clark stayed in close contact with the local owner of Pedego Henderson and Pedego Summerlin for many years, and when the pandemic hit was offered the chance to take over ownership of the Summerlin store by its owner.

“Pedego has changed my life,” said Jordan Clark, owner of Pedego Lake Las Vegas. “I have lost over 80 pounds in the last several years, and there is no doubt in my mind that that first ride on a Pedego was a huge catalyst for this change. Who knew that the fun I was having on a Pedego was exactly the activity I needed for a healthier lifestyle! Now, I am having even more fun owning Pedego stores.”

Under Jordan’s leadership, Pedego Summerlin thrived, and in just nine months sold three times the amount of bikes the store normally would sell in a year. Just six months after taking ownership of Summerlin, Jordan found himself the owner of another Pedego Store in Henderson, Nevada, making Pedego Lake Las Vegas his third store in just about a year. Committed to his local community, Jordan also operates a bike donation program called “Buy a Bike, Build a Future,” out of all three stores. When a customer buys a new bike, they are given the opportunity to donate their old one. These old bikes get fixed up and subsequently donated to local charities which focus on helping kids get better education by providing scholarships, school supplies, clothing, and more.

The store recently started their now annual “Tena’s Ride for the Cure,” a fundraising event designed to raise money for breast cancer research. Over 50 people participated by riding Pedego bikes around Wood Lake, and the ride succeeded in raising $7,000 to fund breast cancer research.

Pedego Oyama donates a percentage of all revenue made from e-bike rentals back to maintaining and protecting the Okanagan Rail Trail for future generations of riders, totaling $4,000 in 2021.

The store offers e-bikes for rental and purchase, as well as multiple unique guided bike tours focusing on a wide variety of scenery and activities. Imagine! is a private, nonprofit organization based in Colorado that offers services focused on integrating people with developmental, cognitive, and physical challenges into the fabric of their local communities. Established in 1963, the organization supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities from birth through their lives with therapeutic services, job training and placement, recreation and leisure activities, opportunities for community living, behavioral health services, technology solutions, and support for families.
